DISCRETIONARY SUNDAY – Today is Discretionary Sunday. The loose offering in the collection plate goes to the Rector’s Discretionary Fund to help with items not in the regular operating budget.
PAUL AWAY – Fr. Paul will be away at continuing education and a statewide clergy meeting from May 24 thru June 3.
MAY DONATION ENVELOPES – The May outreach envelopes will be for the Peterkin Scholarship Fund to assist campers who will be attending summer camp this year.
OFFICE CLOSED – The office will be closed May 29th for Memorial Day.
FOOD CLOSET – Substitute volunteers are needed to work the food closet when Forbes, Steve, and Bev are unable to work. If you would like to assist with this ministry contact Bev, Steve, or Fr. Paul.
NORTH CAROLINA YOUTH CHOIR VISIT – The Youth Choir will be having dinner at Trinity June 15th at 5:30 p.m. before their 7:00 p.m. concert at Good Shepherd, and breakfast at 8:00 a.m. at Trinity on June 16th. Volunteers will be needed to assist with both meals. See Fr. Paul if you would like to help. Also, a couple of families are needed to house choir members.
PETERKIN COLLEGE AND YOUNG ADULT CAMP – The College and Young Adult Camp has been moved to the start of the Peterkin camping season, May 30 (Tuesday) -June 3. This is a chance for anyone under 40 who has been out of high school at least one year to experience Peterkin.
DAY OF REMEMBERING – Leavitt Funeral Home is sponsoring a Day of Remembering service at First Baptist Church on Monday, May 29th from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. Registration is at 11:30 a.m. This is a special time they have set aside to pay tribute to deceased loved ones. This is open to anyone who has lost a loved one. Additional information is available on the bulletin board in Trinity Hall.
