LENTEN DINNERS Lenten covered dish dinners will begin Wednesday, March 13 with Evening Prayer at 6:00 p.m. The dinners will continue each Wednesday during Lent. A short program will follow each week. All women of the church are invited to attend. Sister Jean from Belpre will be the leader, and the theme is Compassion. It begins at 9:00 am and will end at noon with a box lunch. Contact Linda Bennett @ 304-295-9073 so that Sister Jean can determine the amount of materials needed. COLUMBARIUM WINDOWS A rare and beautiful thing is going to happen this spring. The windows overlooking the Columbarium will be replaced with stained glass windows. These windows can be given in memory or honor of a person, family, or event. Details are available from Father Paul or Paula Sellers.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS –  Stations of the Cross will begin Friday, March 8 at 5:30 p.m. in the Nave during Lent. Interested participants will go out to dinner following the service. ANNE’S  – St. Anne’s Guild will hold its first meeting of 2019 in Trinity Hall at 1:30 on Tuesday, 19 February. In addition to the regular business meeting, devotions, and delicious desserts, the special speakers for the occasion will be Donna Gaston and Candace Jones, who will tell of their experiences on mission trips to Burkina Faso. A one-time part of France’s colonial empire in Africa, Burkina Faso is one of the smallest and poorest nations in the world. Mission work seeks to improve the health, education opportunities, and living conditions of the people and Donna and Candace will share their own experience with that work. Please circle the date on your calendar and be on hand to enjoy the fellowship, learn of this work, and plan the St. Anne’s calendar for the rest of the year. If you can spare a few minutes, it shouldn’t take long to finish. SUPPER CLUB – There is a new sign-up sheet for 2019 on the bulletin board in Trinity Hall. If you would like to host a supper just pick the month you would like. You may either host your supper in your home or at a restaurant. ECW – All ladies of Trinity are cordially invited to the Winter meeting on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. in Trinity Hall. Light refreshments will be served. The agenda includes the election of officers. R.S.V.P. Bev Reger at 304-485-0819. INCENSE – We will be offering incense during the primary worship service for the “high holy days” this year (8 days). The next is Epiphany. We realize that not everyone is a fan of incense, so we have taken steps to make it accommodate everyone. First, we have purchased hypoallergenic incense. Second, we will minimize the time in the church. Basically, it will process up the center aisle, sense the altar, then be removed from the Nave.  If you do have a sensitivity you may want to sit away from the center aisle. Those of us that would like to include this aspect of our worship occasionally, thank you for your consideration. ANNUAL MEETING – The Annual Meeting is January 13th immediately following the 10:30 service. The Agenda will include various reports of the state of the Church, Elections for Vestry and Convention delegates; and presentation of the 2019 Budget. The Rector and Sr. Warden are happy to answer any questions you might have. Please plan to attend. CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICES – We will have two services Christmas Eve. The 5:30 p.m. Eucharist service will feature a program read by the youth. There will also be a Midnight Mass at 11:00 p.m. preceded by a concert featuring our choir and brass at 10:30 p.m. CHRISTMAS WEEK SERVICES – We will have a Rite I Eucharist service at 10:00 a.m. Christmas Day and the regular 5:30 p.m. service Saturday, 29 Dec that will include Christmas Carols. On Sunday we will only have one service which will be Lessons and Carols, at 10:00 a.m. SUPPER CLUB – There is a new sign-up sheet for 2019 on the bulletin board in Trinity Hall. If you would like to host a supper just pick the month you would like. You may either host your supper in your home or at a restaurant. ECW – All ladies of Trinity are cordially invited to the Winter meeting on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. in Trinity Hall. Light refreshments will be served. The loose offering given today goes into the Rector’s fund to assist the needy with items not otherwise covered by the budget. CHRISTMAS FLOWERS – Please turn in your donations for Christmas flowers to the office by Tuesday, December 17, along with the form listing names or dedications, so that we can be prepared for our Christmas services. GREENING OF THE CHURCH – The greening of the church will be immediately following the 10:30 a.m. service on December 23rd. If you can spare a few minutes, it shouldn’t take long to finish. Several boxes need to be carried down from upstairs. We hope to pre-stage the larger items by bringing them down today after the 10:30 a.m. service. ANNE’S CHRISTMAS BRUNCH  – The annual St Anne’s Christmas Brunch will be held Sunday, December 9 at the home of Paula Sellers, 1115 Blennerhassett Avenue, Belpre. All members, present, past, and future are cordially invited, along with their guests. This traditional Christmas gathering will start with social time at noon and lunch at 1:00. Ham and beverages will be provided. You can bring a favorite dish to share. PLEDGE CARDS – If you have not turned in your pledge card please do so as soon as possible so we can complete our budget for 2019. DOK – The Monnica chapter of DOK will meet Saturday, December 15th at 8:30 a.m. at Panera Bread. This is a regular business meeting; hope to see everyone there! December 14th is the day of the giveaway and help will be needed beginning at 1:00 p.m. to prepare. The event is from 4:00-8:00. Contact Pat Westbrook or Jeannie Gallagher to help or get additional information. Several people will be needed to assist. If you can spare a little time either day it will be greatly appreciated.
