There is a signup sheet on the bulletin board. Please let us know how many are coming and if you are bringing lasagna, salad, or dessert. TRINTY TALENT SHOW – Following the lasagna dinner, we will once again have the Trinity talent show. Think about some special thing you could share with us — maybe you dance, juggle, tell jokes, recite poetry, sing, play an instrument, do magic tricks. We’d love to have a big variety of talents. We’re looking for acts of about 3-5 minutes each, although they could certainly be shorter. And if your act includes a friend who doesn’t attend Trinity, that’s fine, too. ANNE’S/ECW – The February meeting of St. Anne’s and ECW will be in Trinity Hall, Tuesday, February 18, at 1:30 p.m. The program will be presented by Paul Miller with a tour of the church. Along with the various reports the approved budget will be presented for 2020. We will also elect our delegates for Diocesan Convention and our new vestry members. It is possible these will be the delegates that will elect the new Bishop. The candidates for Convention are Bob Harris, Paul Miller, Dennis Ramsay, and Scott Ramsay. The candidates for vestry are Kevin Oliphant, Bev Reger, and Paula Sellers, for full 3-year terms; Barbara Full to fulfil Becky Mathis-Stump’s unexpired term; and Mark Miller to fulfil Justin Warren’s unexpired term. TRINTY TALENT SHOW – Last year’s talent show was very successful. We had great acts, and, of course, we’d love those people to come back, but we also hope that more of you will now get up the nerve to share your talent with your Trinity family. After the movie those who wish to will go to The Pizza Place across from PHS to have dinner. ECW WINTER LUNCHEON – All ladies of Trinity Episcopal Church are cordially invited to the ECW Winter Luncheon on January 21, 2020, at 12:00 noon at the Parkersburg Country Club. Please remember to make you reservation. See the insert in the bulletin for additional information. NEW FANS – New fans will be installed in the Nave Wednesday, January15 and Thursday, January 16. There will be a lift and other equipment will be used. Please be aware of this if you need to be in the Nave those days. The12:15 p.m. Wednesday Eucharist will be in Adams Chapel.

CONFIRMATION CLASS – The Bishop’s official visit will be April 19, 2020. The Bishop’s visit is the traditional time for confirmation. Confirmation classes begin with the youth on January12. We are trying to get a classroom ready on the second floor of the Rectory (office building). Adults should let Fr. Paul know of their interests. NURSERY VOLUNTEERS – We are looking for Nursery Volunteers. Both of our long-term nursery workers suddenly quit. We still have one trained and qualified worker who is willing to work every Sunday. But we need to have two people in the Nursery. So, we are looking for volunteers. We have a couple, but we would like to have enough that they would be scheduled once every 6 to 8 weeks to work with the paid worker. Please let Father Paul, Bev Reger, or Susie know.

PETERKIN 75TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION – Peterkin celebrates 75 years in 2020. What a great reason to ask our campers to submit ideas for logos that represent summer camp and the uniqueness of 2020 for Peterkin Camp and Conference Center. All Entries Must Use • Hallelujah Kids’ logo •Year 2020 •75th Anniversary Categories for Entries • Grades 1-4 • Grades 5-8 •Grades 9-12 •College/alumni (18 years old or younger) A coloring Sheet for Preschool Children • Preschool students are Invited to submit a coloring page, found on the Peterkin link at www.wvdiocese.org • One winner will be chosen to receive coloring supplies. Deadline Entries will be accepted between now and January 20, 2020. Selection Process: The winning logos will be selected by the Peterkin Board of Directors and will be used in marketing materials for 2020. The winning selection will receive one free camp session for one person to attend a 2020 session. CONFIRMATION CLASS – The Bishop’s official visit will be April 19, 2020. The Bishop’s visit is the traditional time for confirmation. We hope to have several of our teenagers preparing for confirmation and if so, the classes will start in January and will be held during the Sunday School hour. But Confirmation classes are not just for our youth. So, if we need to schedule an Adult confirmation class we can. The first step is just to let Susie or Fr. Paul know that you are interested.

The loose offering given today goes into the Rector’s fund to assist the needy with items not otherwise covered by the budget. GREENING OF THE CHURCH – Please join us today immediately following the 10:30 service when we will be greening the church. We will only be putting up the wreaths and other greenery. Next Sunday will finish decorating the tree and other decorations. PLEDGE CARDS – We can’t finish our budget for 2020 until we have all pledge cards in. Please return yours if you haven’t yet done so. FAMILY CHRISTMAS PROGRAM – Our new Sunday School program has committed to a children’s portion of the Family Christmas Eve (5:30 pm) service. We would like to have as many kids as possible and will be preparing during a portion of the Sunday school hour during the month of December. There may also be a short practice in the Nave on the Sunday before Christmas during Coffee hour. Please let Emily Wagner know that your kids will participate. We are also asking our teens to read the Lessons and all children present are invited to be a part of the procession of the Nativity Scene figurines. VETERANS – During December, we would like to honor those veterans who are interred in the Columbarium. Unfortunately, we are not exactly sure who is a veteran! If you can identify those in the Columbarium who are veterans, it would be greatly appreciated. We will be placing a wreath at the foot of each burial section and will also place a gold star next to the name of each veteran. If you can help with the identification, please contact Fr. Paul, Susie or Dan Thomas. We do not want to omit anyone who is a veteran. CHRISTMAS FLOWERS – Please turn in your donations for Christmas flowers to the office by Monday, December 16, along with the form listing names or dedications so that we can be prepared for our Christmas services. SUPPER CLUB – All Trinity adults are invited to this social event, this month to be held at Six Pence on Friday, December 20 at 6:30. PAUL ON VACATION Fr. Paul will be on vacation Monday, November 25 until Monday, December 2.   FAMILY CHRISTMAS PROGRAM Our new Sunday School program has committed to a children’s portion of the Family Christmas Eve (5:30 pm) service. We would like to have as many kids as possible and will be preparing during a portion of the Sunday school hour during the month of December. There may also be a short practice in the Nave on the Sunday before Christmas during Coffee hour. Please let Emily Wagner know that your kids will participate. We are also asking our teens to read the Lessons and all children present are invited to be a part of the procession of the Nativity Scene figurines. VETERANS During December, we would like to honor those veterans who are interred in the Columbarium.  Unfortunately, we are not exactly sure who is a veteran!  If you can identify those in the Columbarium who are veterans, it would be greatly appreciated.  We will be placing a wreath at the foot of each burial section and will also place a gold star next to the name of each veteran.  If you can help with the identification, please contact Fr. Paul, Susie or Dan Thomas.  We do not want to omit anyone who is a veteran. CHRISTMAS OUTREACH Envelopes are in the bulletin to help us provide Christmas meals for needy families.  PERSONAL CARE BAGS Trinity provides 75 bags of personal care items for the Adopted Family Christmas project at Good Shepherd. The bags with the shopping list inside are in baskets at the front & back of the church, and there are two larger baskets at the back of the church to put the filled bags in. We need the bags returned by Sunday, December 1st, so that they can be delivered to Good Shepherd that week, as they set the store up on December 6th. The loose offering given today goes into the Rector’s fund to assist with items not otherwise covered by the budget. THANK YOU – Many thanks to everyone who helped with the book sale. Once again, the sale was a success. PLEDGE CARDS – In order to have the time to work on the budget for 2020, we ask that you return your pledge cards by Sunday, November 24th, along with your brown bags. BROWN BAG WEEKEND – We have brown bags with a needs list attached located on the front pews and in the back. The items listed are items that Thrive needs most for their food pantry. Trinity has partnered with Thrive as they can serve the hungry 5 days a week, from noon to 4 p.m. They have access to fresh produce, and the clients can “shop” for the food that they like, rather than giving them items that they won’t eat. HARVEST WEEKEND – Next Saturday and Sunday are Harvest Days. Please return your brown bags and you pledge cards.
