DISCRETIONARY SUNDAY – Today is Discretionary Sunday. The loose offering given today goes into the Rector’s fund to assist the needy with items not otherwise covered by the budget.
HELP NEEDED TO INSTALL SMOKE DETECTORS – Jeff Stump is leading a charge to work with the Parkersburg Fire Dept. to install smoke detectors in homes of people that might not be able to afford one. We are hoping to do this Saturday, June 16. We will also try to feed the first responders on that day as well. We need a few volunteers to help. If you interested there is a sign-up in Trinity Hall or you may contact Jeff. GRADUATES – Graduate Sunday will be on Father’s Day, June 17. If you have someone in your family graduating from high school or college, please notify Susie with the following information: Name, (relationship to Trinity) school, date of graduation, future plans, etc. CHORAL EVENSONG – As part of the Trinity 175 celebrations, Evensong will be sung at 3:00 in the afternoon of June 3, 2018. Evensong is simply a version of Evening Prayer where most of the service is sung by the choir or intoned by a cantor. Included in our service are arrangements of the traditional Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis by Sir Alfred Herbert Brewer. The beauty of Evensong is that it can be experienced on different levels: some simply sit and listen as if enjoying a concert while others are moved by a profound spiritual renewal. As such, it is the perfect service to invite friends and neighbors to attend. A traditional Tea will follow the service in Trinity Hall. No matter how one approaches it, Evensong offers an antidote to the modern age of instant digital gratification. Trinity encourages you and your guests to be a part of this traditional Anglican service. UPCOMING EVENTS
