NEW DRE – I am pleased to announce that Tiffany Deem has accepted an offer to serve as the new Director of Religious Education for Trinity – Parkersburg. With some extra funding from the Diocese we were able to offer some additional hours so she will also serve in the capacity of “Program Ministries”. That means, while her primary focus is on rebuilding the Sunday School and other Youth activities, she is also available to assist in other new programs here at Trinity. Please join with me in welcoming Tiffany to our staff and offering her your encouragement and support. Paul +
BOOK SALE – Volunteers are needed for sorting books for the book sale. We are getting books every day and additional help is needed.
CHURCH PICNIC – Save August 7 on your calendar for the annual church picnic. Once again it will be held at Jackson Park in Vienna.
SUPPER CLUB will not meet in July or August. There is a new sign-up sheet on the Trinity Hall bulletin board. You may host it in your home or in a restaurant. Questions may be addressed to Lynn Fury-Prather at 304-485-2517 or 304-483-1297, or Julie Gyongyosi at 304-422-4121.
WV DOK ANNUAL MEETING – The WV Assembly of the D.O.K. will hold the Annual Meeting at St. Barnabas Chapel, Bridgeport, on Saturday July 30, from 10:00am – 2:00 pm.
GREENBRIER VALLEY FLOOD RELIEF – Volunteers are still working to help flood victims in our Diocese. While a lot has been accomplished, there is still a lot to do. The Diocesan Office is still accepting donations that will be used 100% to aid those areas that are affected by the floods. You can contribute by going to the top of the home page of the diocesan website at www.wvdiocese.org and clicking on the ‘donate’ button. [Fr Paul L. Hicks] You can also donate through Trinity and your donation will show on your giving statement. Just mark on your check it is for “Flood Relief”. Every donation that we have received of prayer, time, items and money has been of tremendous help, and we thank you for your generosity.
