Consult the Trinity Hall bulletin board or call the office for more information. STEWARDSHIP – Stewardship is an important part of the life of any church. At Trinity, we will begin two critical phases of stewardship in the upcoming weeks: one in which we as individuals and families consider how much of our monetary blessings we will pledge to Trinity for 2018, and another in which the Vestry will carefully plan how to use those pledged funds to sustain Trinity and fulfill its mission in the coming year. As we approach these phases of stewardship, we ask that you begin prayerfully considering your pledge and also that you pray for the Vestry to have wisdom in its budgeting process. BOOK SALE – Due to the generosity of so many people we have been overwhelmed with books for the book sale and are no longer accepting books for this year’s sale. Thank you so much for all who have donated books. Summer is almost gone andFall is right around the corner. We even had a full eclipse of the sun across the United States and we are all still here. Fall also means back to school and for many of us it means getting back to a routine that vacationsand summer trips have interrupted.  I know that also includes getting back to our worship and activitieshere at Trinity. At the writing of this article, we have just finished a very successful event that Tiffany coordinated with Faith Link and that wasthe Back to School Bash. Trinity helped serve over 700 people providingseveral backpacks, crosskey chains, bottles of water, and countless blessings of the backpacks and of the students for headingback to school. It was a greatevent and allowed Trinity to have a positive impact in our community. I thank Tiffany and all of the manyTrinity volunteers who helped to make this event a success. Next we will turn our attention to another event that will allow us to work with another of the Faith Link programs called “Paws to Help”. We are considering inviting them to participate with us as a part of our Blessing of the Animals service to be held in our new parking lot. The Paws to Help program is a volunteer program designed to help Seniors keep their pets. On another note, we continue to work with our choir in search of a new director. I very much continue to appreciate the hard work of those dedicated choir members and our organist to keep the fine music going that Trinity is known for. We have actually seen growth in our choir during the last year and hope all of you (and more) will return this fall. I want to strongly encourage our youth and parents to reengage with the Sunday School, youth activities, Acolytes, and other programs that are so important to the church. Trust me when I tell youthe leadership of the youth programs,the Rector, and the Vestryare all committed to making thesemeaningful and fun. All we need isthe committed participation from theyouth and parents. If you have some ideas, we just need you to show up and share them. You can see we have a lot of exciting things happening. Helen Van Koevering will be the guest speaker.   The hotel and theme for the weekend will be confirmed soon and we will send it to you, along with a registration form, on WV Mission later this month.  WEST VIRGINIA FLOOD RELIEF – As most of you know, many hundreds of homes, businesses, and at least two schools were affected in this weekend’s floods in the northern part of the state.  A state of emergency was declared in eight counties — Monongalia, Marion, Harrison, Tucker, Taylor, Wetzel, Ohio, and Marshall. EPISCOPAL CHURCHES in the affected area needing assistance or support in helping yourselves or others in the community, contact Cathy Slemp, Diocesan Relief and Development Coordinator:  304-654-0026 or cathy.slemp@att.net. ASSITANT BISHOP’S VISIT  – Bishop Mark Van Koevering will visit Trinity on December 3rd. This will give us an opportunity for Confirmation and baptisms.
