Hicks ********************************************************************************************** TRINITY MEN’S GROUP – The Trinity Men’s group will begin meeting for breakfast at 9:00 a.m. in Trinity Hall on the second Saturday of each month. However, in April, the men will meet on April 22.  In addition to breakfast and devotional time, the men are willing to work on small jobs around the church.  So if you see a repair or task that needs to be done, please place a note in the “Job Jar” located in the Memorial Library.  Please include your name in case we have additional questions. All men and boys of the church are invited. APRIL 5TH LENTEN DINNER – For the Wednesday, April 5, Lenten Dinner the Men of Trinity will be making chili and a baked potato bar.  Therefore, the suggestion for other covered dishes would be along the lines of desserts and salad.  We look forward to seeing everyone there.  The more men that are available for clean up after the program, the quicker it will be. GREAT VIGIL – There is a signup sheet on the bulletin board in Trinity Hall for you to sign up for the Great Vigil which begins immediately following the Maundy Thursday service. The time slots are in 30 minute segments and you may sign up for as many as you wish. Please refer to the Trinity Times for more information. EASTER EGG HUNT – The annual Trinity Easter Egg hunt will be Saturday, April 15th, 11:00 a.m. at the home of Ann Bailey at 55th Street and River Road in Vienna. Please bring a bag or basket to collect eggs. Prizes, as well as carrots, and apples to feed the horses, are provided. We ask that each child participating bring canned goods or toiletries to help stock the Trinity Food Pantry. FYNE JUNQUE SALE – April 28th – 8 am to 3 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm (evening hours are part of downtownpkb event: Merchants and Artists Walk) April 29th – 8 am to 1 pm. Lunch to be announced later Please continue to bring in items to be sold and be ready to volunteer your time to help. PALM SUNDAY – Next Sunday is Palm Sunday and we will once again have the Passion of our Lord at both services. We will also process into the church. If you wish to take part in the processional. We will meet in Trinity Hall before each service.

All men and boys of the church are invited. INSTRUCTED EUCHARIST – Both of today’s services are instructed Eucharist. We hope that if you are relatively new to the Episcopal Church, this instructed Eucharist will more fully equip you for worship and enable you to enter more deeply into this wonderful and beautiful holy mystery.  If you are an Episcopalian of longstanding, we hope you will enjoy a refresher in this most holy sacrament. CHRISTMAS GIVEAWAY – Last year we served around 400 people in a Christmas giveaway for the needy.  If anyone would like to be involved in this ministry, we have already begun collecting donations for this year.  On Sunday, March 26th K-Mart on Division Street, south side of Parkersburg, will be having their last major markdown before they permanently close the store.  They still have many of the items that are most important for our Christmas giveaway, mainly:  coats for all ages, hats, gloves, socks, boots, blankets, and toys.  We accept all items, as people in need aren’t limited in what they need but we believe those items are some of the most important. HABITAT FOR HUMANITY – Habitat will be dedicating two new houses today at 2:30 p.m. The homes are located at 2404 7th Avenue and Thomas Street in Parkersburg. If you have never been to a house dedication, it is a very moving experience to see how proud and appreciative the families are of their new homes. ST. Speakers will be Wood County Sheriff Steve Stephens, 911 Director Rick Woodyard and Larry Fought. The will have a display of drug paraphernalia, a Power Point presentation and will be available to answer your questions.

They can be reused on future Sundays. Your help is appreciated. REMINDER – As a reminder from the January Times, before each service, we will light the candles about five minutes before the service starts. At the 10:30 service the organ prelude usually starts about that same time.  The lighting of the candles will be the signal for individual conversations to end and a period of silent reflection to begin. WORSHIP HELP IS NEEDED – We are looking for Lectors, Worship Assistants and Acolytes to assist with both services. If you feel called to one of these ministries please contact Fr. Paul. This is a great way to serve your church. MOVIE NIGHT SUGGESTIONS – We are looking for suggestions for our monthly movie nights. Family friendly movies, movies for kids, and especially faith based movies. Suggestions should be addressed to Tiffany Deem. PARENTS MEETING – Fr. Paul and Tiffany would like to meet with all parents, grandparents, or anyone else who knows a youth they would like to get more involved with the church. The meeting will be February 8, 2017 at 6:00 pm in Trinity. Hicks 11:45 am: Coffee Hour 5:30 pm:  Youth ********************************************************************************************** OUTREACH ENVELOPES – In an effort to save money, if you are not going to use the outreach envelopes in you bulletin, please leave them on the pew and not in the trash or recycle bin. They can be reused on future Sundays. Your help is appreciated. REMINDER – As a reminder from the January Times, before each service, we will light the candles about five minutes before the service starts. At the 10:30 service the organ prelude usually starts about that same time.  The lighting of the candles will be the signal for individual conversations to end and a period of silent reflection to begin. WORSHIP HELP IS NEEDED – We are looking for Lectors, Worship Assistants and Acolytes to assist with both services. If you feel called to one of these ministries please contact Fr. Paul. This is a great way to serve your church. MOVIE NIGHT SUGGESTIONS – We are looking for suggestions for our monthly movie nights. Family friendly movies, movies for kids, and especially faith based movies. Suggestions should be addressed to Tiffany Deem. CHANGE IN SERVICE AT COMMUNION – We are going to try something different during Communion. Instead of the ushers standing at the steps and shaking hands, they will walk up the aisle stopping at each row. That will be the signal for that row to stand and proceed to the Altar. PARENTS MEETING – Fr. Paul and Tiffany would like to meet with all parents, grandparents, or anyone else who knows a youth they would like to get more involved with the church. The meeting will be February 8, 2017 at 6:00 pm in Trinity. MEN’S GROUP – The Trinity Men’s Group will begin meeting in Trinity Hall for breakfast at 9:00 a.m. on the second Saturday of odd numbered months.
