DISCRETIONARY SUNDAY – Today is Discretionary Sunday. The loose offering given today goes into the Rector’s fund to assist the needy with items not otherwise covered by the budget.
CLOTHES CLOSET – The Clothes Closet is in serious need of the following items for men & women: Jeans, sweatshirts and hoodies, jackets, short and long sleeve T shirts, boots, and blankets. We also need more volunteers for the clothes and food closets. Any help would be greatly appreciated. INREACH/WELCOMING COMMITTEE – Fr. Paul is looking for volunteers that want to serve on an In-reach/Welcoming committee. This committee would not only help to welcome new visitors on Sunday and with follow up contact but will also look to help re-engage current parishioners that we may not see on a regular basis, just to make sure everything is ok. If you feel led to participate in this manner, please let Fr. Paul know of your interests. FIRST FIVE – Let’s remember to welcome our visitors and take the first five minutes after worship to speak to people we do not know. If you don’t know them, this is a wonderful time to meet them! ADOPTED FAMILIES PROJECT – Again, this year, Trinity will be aiding the “Adopted Families” project sponsored by Good Shepherd by providing 75 Personal Care Packages. There is a list of items needed in a jumbo zip bag and we ask that you take at least one to fill. We have found that The Dollar Tree in the Park Shopping Plaza is the best place to buy these items. SMOKE ALARM VOLUNTEERS – Reminder: On November 3 we will be assisting the Parkersburg Fire Dept. installing smoke detectors. We will meet at the Fire House at 9:45 a.m., and when we are finished, we will have lunch with the firefighters. We need 8-10 people to assist with this project. There is sign-up sheet in Trinity Hall. |
