FOOD FOR THE POOR  – Today we welcome Fr. Bruce Torrey representing Food for the Poor. Fr. Torrey will be preaching at both services. There will be a limited coffee hour today immediately following the 8:00 service for Father Torrey’s presentation, and he will present again at the coffee hour following the 10:30 service.

LENTEN DINNERS – Covered dish dinners will be held each Wednesday during Lent. They will begin with Evening Prayer at 6:00p.m., followed by the dinner at 6:30p.m. At 7:00p.m., there will be a program presented by Becky Mathis-Stump. “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms” (I Peter 4:10, NIV) If you are interested in learning about your gift(s), identifying others who share your gift(s), and/or discussing how you can use your gift(s), please consider joining us during our upcoming Lenten dinners. You only need to bring an open mind, a pen/pencil, and your Bible! Youth activities will be available. Call the church if you will have nursery needs.

YOUTH – The teens will begin meeting the first and third Sundays of each month at 5:00 p.m. We are looking for a leader for our pre-teen youth. If you feel called to this ministry please call the office.

DOK QUIET DAY – The Daughters of the King from Good Shepherd will host a Quiet Day on Saturday, March 18th from 9- 12. It will be followed by a box lunch from Honey Baked Ham – cost of the lunch is approximately $9.00. The Rev. Gene Sheppard will be the leader. Contact person is Linda Bennett. TRUSTEES MEETING CHANGE – Starting in March, the Trustees will meet at 5:45 pm and the Vestry at 6:30 pm.

DRUG AWARENESS SEMINAR – Christ United Methodist Church, 715 16th Street, Parkersburg, will sponsor a Christian-based Drug Awareness Seminar. Speakers will be Wood County Sheriff Steve Stephens, 911 Director Rick Woodyard and Larry Fought. The will have a display of drug paraphernalia, a Power Point presentation and will be available to answer your questions.
